Marvel Comics Remixes Covers to Honor Hip-Hop Albums

We recently talked about why hip-hop makes for great visual content. This week, the trend continues with some serious hip-hop love coming from Marvel Comics. This October, the company is releasing more than 50 covers of their popular titles, remixed to honor iconic hip-hop album covers. Kamala Khan gets the Lauryn Hill treatment. The Amazing Spider-Man pays homage to A Tribe Called Quest. We couldn’t be more excited.

Watch Babies’ Poo Face in Slow Motion. Well Done Pampers.

When your main business is selling diapers, eventually you just have to accept what people are doing with your product. That’s why we love this new ad from Pampers. They know babies make crazy faces when they poop, so their latest ad captures a few doing their business in glorious slow motion. Juxtaposed against Strauss’ epic composition “Thus Spake Zarathustra,” this piece had us laughing hysterically. I guess we like potty humor.

Still, we often find ourselves reaching for the perfect word to describe the people and things we encounter day to day. To help ourselves, we’ve invented 10 new words. They’re a little punny, a little portmanteau, but they are in regular rotation at Visual News. Feel free to try them out yourself.

Fandor pulled together 50 films, both underground and mainstream, which paved the way for greater expression in queer cinema.

The Complex Emotions of “Inside Out” in One Infographic

Pixar’s new film, Inside Out, is all about the interplay of feelings within a person. (We don’t want to spoil anything, so we’ll just leave it at that. But go see it ASAP.) The film’s main characters— joy, sadness, disgust, fear, and anger—are their own specific emotions. But when they work together, they can create entirely new emotions.
