This particular audibilization is just one of many ways to generate sound from running sorting algorithms. Here on every comparison of two numbers (elements) It play (mixing) sin waves with frequencies modulated by values of these numbers. It may be the start of a new trend, software that automatically upgrades itself silently in the background without ever bothering users. Google has been doing it successfully with its Chrome web browser, and soon Mozilla will jump on the bandwagon with Firefox.

The classes are represented as buildings in the city, while the packages are depicted as the districts in which the buildings reside. The visible properties of the city artifacts depict a set of chosen software metrics, as in the polymetric views of CodeCrawler.

Finally someone (Jason Nafziger) made a flow chart of Cat’s in the Cradle.
Cat’s in the Cradle was Harry Chapin’s only #1 song, released in 1974 from the album Verities & Balderdash and topping the charts that December. The lyrics are based on a poem written by his wife, Sandy, about the relationship between her first husband and his father. For some reason, this song is often attributed to Cat Stevens, who by all official accounts has never actually performed it, although I imagine he has sung along to it on the radio like the rest of us. via rockcharts.wordpress.com
