This Nikon Camera Case Captures What Dogs Are Excited About. Is Anyone Surprised?


We usually take picture of things we’re excited about, but what if a dog could do the same thing? Nikon recently created their ‘Heartography’ project to see what gets dogs excited, using a happy dog named Grizzler as the product tester for their special camera mount with a built-in heart-rate monitor. Whenever he saw something that made his heart beat rise, he snapped a picture. Is anyone really surprised by what Grizzler took pictures of?

Mickael Delalande Makes 3D Sketches with Wire


French artist Mickael Delalande uses wire to make sketches that nearly take flight. Looking like he’s drawn contour lines in the air, his work reflects the objects of everyday life in full-scale – from squeezed tubes of toothpaste, to a floppy pair of Converse All-Stars. The sculptures incorporate playful use of light and shadow, tricking us into seeing double in the shapes they cast on the surfaces around them.

A Tree Covered Apartment Building Protects Residents from Pollution (and Looks Like Paradise)


Covered with 150 individual trees, the 25 Verde apartment building in Turin, Italy, looks like a playground for the nature lover. Designed by Luciano Pia, the 5-story, 63 unit building was constructed with large pots on its outside walls, while wooden shingles and tree-like steel beams complete the arboreal aesthetic. It’s not just for good looks though.

Let the Light Shine Through: Ramon Todo Creates Stone with Glass Inserted in the Middle


Artist Ramon Todo makes strange sculptures which combine the strikingly different textures of stone and glass. His work, looking much like man-made geodes, uses materials from river rock, to volcanic stone, to graffiti covered pieces of the Berlin wall. His glass additions perfectly match the shape of his found stones, creating a surprising luminous transition where the light is able to shine through.
